A documentary starring the people who organized and participated in the 1963 March on Washington. The March on Washington was organized by activists A. Philip Randolph and Bayard Rustin, to pressure the U.S. government into desegregating the armed forces and providing fair working opportunities for African Americans.

The March on Washington was also largely remembered for Martin Luther Kings’ iconic I Have a Dream speech. The speech was delivered to 250,000 people, America’s largest multi-racial audience.
The March also brought together many civil rights organizations, labour unions, and civil rights leaders. These included the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the Congress of Racial Equality (C.O.R.E), the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), and the National Urban League. It was known to become the largest civil rights protest in American history.

The March was believed to catalyst to the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which ended segregation in public places and banned employment discrimination. It was known as a huge success for African Americans and would eventually change the rights of American citizens.
